Hire cornhole to keep your guests entertained
Tossing little bags into little holes. Sounds kinda lame right? But once you get amongst it cornhole is a fun game to keep guests entertained. Trust us!
As with all our games, we recommend you hire cornhole simply because there is only so much small talk you can make with your friends and family before you’d rather just do something else.
The bags are reasonably soft, so if you have a slightly aggressive guest then the bags shouldn’t cause too much damage to people.
Hire cornhole for any event for just $50.
Other outdoor game companies charge up to $50 per day to hire cornhole in Auckland. We just charge a flat rate of $50, with flexible pick up / drop off times.
Why hire from Giantwood?
Because look what we’ve seen on another cornhole hire website:
“Price: $60 daily. We offer delivery for bookings exceeding $100. A delivery charge may apply dependent on location/travel distance required. Collections/returns can be done the day before and the day after your event between 8am-8:30pm. An overnight fee will be applied to your booking total for Saturday nights only. The table below outlines our delivery fees per distance required. All orders are subject to a security bond, photo ID“
I don’t know about you, but I hate all that sort of stuff!
Book with Giantwood, and pay the one time fee during the booking process, then pick it up from our place in Glenfield on Auckland’s Northshore. Return it whenever is convenient for you, but ideally within a week or so.
Security bond?! Photo ID?! Bugger all that. We trust you won’t be a dick. There is one condition of hire, and that is if a board is returned broken there will be a $100 damage fee. If you’re a savage and somehow managed to break both boards, there will be a $200 damage fee.
Specifications:
Mate, we aren’t scientists. You’re got an event to plan, I’ve got wood to sand. Neither of us have time for specifications. Look at the pictures on this page and make a judgement call.
Edit: My wife told me not to be lazy and actually put some specifications here. Fine. All the cornhole boards available to hire from us are regulation size, according to the American Cornhole Association. This means the the boards themselves are 122cm long by 61cm wide, the hole is 6 inches, and the bags are about 6 inches too. The recommended slope of a cornhole board is about 10 degrees, and ours are pretty close to this.
How do I play cornhole?
The Court:
Put the boards about 8.5 meters away from each other (measuring from the front of the boards), and facing each other. This is about 27 feet for any yanks reading this.
Scoring:
I’ll be honest, I started writing this section and got bored as hell. These rules are already written on 500 other websites, so how about you head along to the rules page at the American Cornhole Association and read the rules there. They are in-depth and should get you sorted in no time.
We’ve included a short video below which explains the rules pretty well – these are what most of our customers follow when they hire cornhole from us. Excuse the tacky boards in this vid.
